More about Wendy Wong…
Andy and Wendy have been active in the dance community since 1976. They met at UBC and together have studied and trained with some of the best coaches in North America and the world. They were the B.C. Amateur Ballroom Dance Champions for an unprecendented 13 consecutive years. Andy and Wendy served on the executive committee of the B.C. Amateur Dancers Association for a combined 12 years. Andy was president from 1981 to 1984. As volunteers, they have tirelessly devoted their time and efforts to the promotion of ballroom dancing in Vancouver.
Andy and Wendy both graduated from UBC in the early eighties. They met and started their dance partnership while members of the UBC Dance Club. Wendy is an accomplished designer and dressmaker and has operated her own dance costume making business since 1987. Her clients include most of the top amateur dancers in the Pacific Northwest, as well as clients from major centres of the United States.
